BANAPPLE PIES AND CHEESECAKES (El Terazzo Tomas Morato)

         Banapple is a friendly bakery cakes that serves freshly-baked pies, cheesecakes and desserts as well as good food and coffee.
         It started since 2007 in the heart of Katipunan and followed by another branch along Tomas Morato  and another across its first Katipunan location because of it's popularity. And now they have 7 Branches across the Metro.
         According to Guidon's Online magazine, "the restaurant gets its name from the main ingredients of their famous Banoffee Pie and Apple Caramel Crumble Pie," which is also their bestseller.
         The place has a homy ambiance like granny's kitchen with colorful and woody interiors that make you feel cozy and relaxing while waiting for your orders.

       On Sat night we planned to eat @ BANAPPLE Cheesecakes and Pastries in El Terrazo Tomas Morato. I was surprised that it’s just a walking distance away from my office to the Resto haven of Quezon City. My friend suggested this place because it’s affordable and good for sharing because they had huge servings!

           However, arriving at 7:30 pm the place was already full and they gave us #13 on the waiting list. They seem to be always crowded & busy all day. So, if you don’t want to wait, eat here at their off peak hours around 2pm to 5pm. What happened to us was we never had an opportunity to eat inside so the only option was the next available seat.

          On their MENU there’s a variety of pasta, rice dishes, sandwiches, salads, cakes, pies and smoothies. Go for Pasta if your taste buds are looking for an Italian Flavor Bonapetite! And rice dishes if you have a big appetite and if you’re on a lite meal diet try their sandwiches because it’s piled high in wheat bread.

          For the desserts, they have a wide variety of cakes and pies to choose from that you can’t resist the temptation of tasting all the flavors. To Start our night we started to zip some smoothies to quenched our thirst.     

  SMOOTHIES

 Huhmm.. even their smoothies have a Banapple flavor and also a good combination of Chocolate fudge and fruits that compliments our meal.

OUR MAIN DISH

       The Hearty Heavenly Breakfast meal includes, succulent glazed porkloin ham steak paired with parsley eggs and a choice of pesto bread or seasoned garlic rice. It was tender and juicy tasted like a sweet ham served during Christmas Eve.
      And the Lasagna Rollups, was herbed with cream and parmesan cheeses fill al dente lasagna wide strips, are rolled up, and smothered with classic tomato meat sause and mozarella cheese. I really love it's meaty sauce.
      Finally, the Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne, a well - loved dish of luscious white cheese sauce and meaty tomato sauce, with al dente penne pasta and sauteed hungarian sausage, served with 2 sliced of pesto bread.

  THE DESSERTS

               Banoffee Pie was a talk of the town and I finally found it here. Starting from the top most part, tasting some dark chocolate roll to start my journey. Going down the icing that taste like marshmallow similar to Merced cakes and reaching the middle part was full of sweet bananas with condensed milk. Ending my journey was like lying on a crunchy graham crust dreaming. Now, I know why it's so famous because the combination of banana slices, chocolate and cream was just right. I can't explained the feeling, it gave me a happy emotion.    

             Last, but not the least was ordering another cake and this time it's the Cherry Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake. The color was really attracting it's like a sweeter version of chocolate mousse that you'll become solved after some spoonful.

My final verdict was to revisit this place for tasting more of their Pies and cakes.
